your scarf looks like my underwear (or things I like Spring 2009)

Alright it's time for my semi-annual list post. In no particular order here are some things that I like (or just want to write about):

Seattle - Johanna and I went to visit Rachel there a couple weeks ago. Rachel did a very good job of chronicling our visit over on her blog. She pretty much hit every detail. I had never been there before so it was really cool to hang out and walk around the city. It's weird that Rachel lives there now but I'm glad she does because I liked it and look forward to visiting again.

If you ever find yourself there I would highly recommend that you visit Top Pot Doughnuts and Caffe Ladro. We saw Top Pot on the Travel Channel before our trip and I was determined to check it out. It was well worth it. I could seriously eat doughnuts non-stop. Easily my favorite sweets. Caffe Ladro had a store actually attached to our hotel, The Marqueen, and I went there every morning for coffee. It was no Pilao but it will do in a pinch.

Also, it was cool to ride the monorail. Which leads me to question why aren't there more monorails? Wasn't this supposed to have been futuristic technology back in the 60s? Isn't it the future now?

Chondroitin - is a really fun word that I like to say. Also, it is a supplement the my dog now has to take because he has hip dysplasia. When we got back from Seattle Ray was limping again so we took him back to the vet. As a result of getting him x-rayed we finally found out how old he is (almost a year old) but it was sad to look at the x-ray and clearly see where is hip is out of whack. He's doing better now and we still go on our long walks but we're just going to have to watch it with the really vigorous exercise and make sure he doesn't overdo it. We also got him an orthopedic dog bed which is huge.

Qdoba - is awesome. I probably eat it twice a week.

The Shack - I finally read this and I'm glad I did. I was surprised that I like it as much as I do. It didn't make me cry, I think because everyone told me how it made them cry so I expected that kind of thing, but it did make me laugh and smile alot.

Rocky IV Soundtrack - I rediscovered this gem from my childhood and it's been inserted into my Ipod rotation.

Laird Hamilton Force Of Nature - another really cool book. It's not just about surfing either. Inspiring.

Fast & Furious - terrible. And awesome.
