* What is the Rachel Zoe project and why am I watching it right now?
* I literally think that people say "literally" way too much
* To those that were unaware, I quit my old job at a bookstore that shall remain unnamed in July and have been teaching American History and Government as a long-term substitute teacher since August. This has been a good thing in every way. However, teaching is a very challenging job and I have much more respect for those who do this. But it's been great to be on the same schedule as the rest of the working world. I had completely forgotten how weekends are supposed to be.
* On a related note, I love football. Especially the college variety. Don't know what to expect from my alma mater but it's good to start 4-0. The upcoming game vs. Nebraska will be huge as we haven't really played anyone yet. Illinois clearly doesn't count.
* Ray now weighs about 105 pounds. And he's not fat. We did lots of swimming in the lake over the summer, which was super fun. He won't jump off the dock though. We'll have to work on that next summer.
* I did a half-marathon a couple weeks that I really didn't train for. Perhaps this wasn't the wisest decision but I did alright. I ran it with my friend Marianne though and she kicked my a**. She did really well (1:37 for those that care). I also did a Cross-Fit competition back in August which was an even worse decision. To those that do not know what Cross-Fit is I'll sum it up for you in one word = torture. That people actually pay to do. It was basically competing at working out. Which is strange. It was really fun though and all of the people at the games were super nice. I don't know if I'll do this again, I'm just not all that into working out to be good at working out. I think swimming burned me out on competing. Running is different, I think because it's such a solitary thing.
* Jojo is "so bored that her head is going to explode" right now. So bored that she's continuing to watch Rachel Zoe. The Rams game is on now but....yeah, this is probably better.
* I haven't showered since Friday morning.
* Neal has a sister named Gwynne. And perhaps a new daughter named Amanda.
