We are hoping to conclude our "tour of homes" in St. Paul, MN. Starting in 2007, we have have lived in 3 different states, 4 different houses (2 owned, 2 rented)...Moving lost its fun long ago. We hope that house #5 is one we get to inhabit for awhile. The appraisal is the last hurdle (which is a bigger deal now than just a few years ago) and if all goes well, we will close at the end of May.
Some stats:
-1.5 story, 4 bedroom, 2 bath
-finished basement
-2 car garage (which is HUGE for the city)
-big yard (again, the area we are moving has tiny lots)
-been in the same family for 75+ years. It has been very well maintained...it is very dated, but very well loved and cared for...
Here are some pix:

Looking forward to seeing it! I enjoyed the pictures.
I think one of the reasons wallpaper has fallen out of fashion in the last fifteen years or so is that those of us who papered every wall in our houses thirty years ago came to realize just how difficult it was to remove (especially on unsized walls) However, it may be coming back in fashion, so you might want to just leave the walls as they are :)
I LOVE peeling things. If you move into this house and need help peeling the wallpaper off, call me :)
Thinking you guys should get an old fashioned push mower for that yard...they are environmentally friendly and it will build character.
Also in the can't wait to visit camp.
Just took a look at your future homestead. How about that green carpet. I looked with the knowledge that Shannon and Jeremy can make the place super cute and very livable. The yard looks like a good place for kids to play. The bedrooms seem small but I remember the house where I grew up in Des Moines and it was about the same size with out the lovely woodwork and slowly mom and dad made it very comfortable. You will do the same. It is in your blood. A. Sharon
Green Carpet??? :O
I'm extremely impressed along with your writing skills as smartly as with the structure on your blog. Is that this a paid subject matter or did you modify it your self? Anyway stay up the excellent quality writing, it is uncommon to look a nice weblog like this one these days..
Good luck
