Tortoise or Hare?

"...you can't stop him...you can only...hope...to contain him..."

MGW has exploded out of the gate. numerous, lengthy 'comments' abound. Creative ideas, shenanigans, and ballyhoo are aplenty. Will it continue at such a frenetic pace or will fizzle out? time will tell...

"...some rides don't have much of a finish..."

or was it...

"...sunrises don't have much of a finish..." ????

good times good times

its one mans prediction that the "fizzling" away of such frequent posts is completely dependent upon ones climate in his/her immediate surroundings. thanks to a very unlikely oscar winner, we all know that global warming is a fact, or something, but maybe not, its the popular thing to say so lets go with it. "a good book is good and thats well understod"-jj

considering mt st helens put out more heat than all our cars since the inception of the car, global warming is hard for me to accept.

lets look at the atacama desert for a minute. its well known as the driest place on earth. but wait. ist right on the central coast of chili. how can this be. well, the ocean floor just off the coast is very deep. and there is this process called upwelling that occurs where the very cold water circulates to the surface and it is so cold that the air that blows over it cannot pick up any moisture to produce clouds or rain. hence, a very dry place. not to be confused with calihari desert in africa where the bushmen live, that place rocks. and the little bushmen are great at finding water in tubers and on the leaves of plants in the morning. just dont give them any coke bottles, it kinda makes a mess of their whole system.

so really our oceans and its currents have lots to do with our weather systems and climate in general.

so in this youngest of sciences that is meterology, we have determined that the earth is warming and its all bushs fault. ignored is the actual fact that the earth is bigger than the district of columbia. it has lots of deep trenches and cold water that actually does dictate our climte. many believe that ol mother earth, this tierra firma we call home, really takes care of itself. ill get all budist on you for a second and call it somewhat of a balance if you will. there is a word to describe this, now what is it, i know ive heard it somewhere. oh yeah, equilibrium.

despite this actual probability, we have been scared and threatened to drive along side larry david in a flaming prius. the left is just as bad as the right in their scare tactics. (again, joff for president '08) the moore/gore campaign has risen the global warming threat level to orange and we will soon be in a state of hypothermic arrest due to a human induced ice age. if you saw that one movie with dennis quaid where everyone north of gainsville froze youd know what im talking about. back to whats really important, an ice age is quite good news for the survival and regular contributing of the blog. come spring, i predict those stuck up in higher latitudes will still be glued to thier computers whilst others in more temperate climates will have long since abandoned such foolish wintertime follies. like a bear awakening from its hibernation, we too will once again venture outside to play. only time will tell if wishing wells will bring us better thnings. kick the can anyone? one two three...not it.

Now that you've mastered the art of "comments", I think you should tackle a "post". Expand your horizons and conquer that last unknown.

My favorite part about our friend Mr. Gore is that JUST TODAY there are news stories everywhere about how his mansion in TN uses twenty times (TWENTY TIMES!) the amount of energy that average american homes use (per year). That is awesome.

Hmm, what a fine example of ad hominem tu quoque. Yeah...I know things.
